Our
Little Bastard conversion shows the future way of building motor homes. Gone
are the times when a motor home had a plywood floor, metal frame, ply internal cladding and 1 to 1.5mm fibreglass skin.
The
future is called composite panel shell (sandwich construction).
What
is a composite panel?
A
2.5mm thick, gel coated outer layer, bonded to a 20 to
35mm thick insulating foam, finished off with a 2.5mm thick inner fibreglass
layer. The result is a tough, weather proof shell with unseen insulation properties.
It's
non de-laminating, easy to repair and not to forget,
lightweight construction.
Our
panels are bonded together with SIKA products and the internal edges are
reinforced with fibreglass matting. The floor panel (24mm thick) is bonded to a
galvanised support structure. The panels we use for our motor homes are Queensland made and backed by a 10
year manufacturers warranty. Last but not least, the
panels can be manufactured in any automotive colour to match your vehicles
colour.
